Chevrolet, the subsidiary of the auto giant, General Motors, have given the car lovers many excellent cars, which made driving a pleasurable exercise. In India, though the company offered world class cars, it did not receive the kind of overwhelming support that a Maruti car or a Hyundai car got. However, that did not deter Chevrolet from continuing its good performance and it continued to offer good cars to the Indian buyers. At last, with cars like Chevrolet Beat, the Indian car buyers were made to sit up and notice the maker more closely. Chevrolet cars like Tavera and Spark, along with Cruze, managed to do good business in India. As the consumer confidence in the company grew, Chevrolet introduced an MPV named Enjoy in India.
Even though the Indian car market is predominantly favorable to hatchbacks and compact sedans, cars like SUVs and MPVs are finding increasing acceptance among the car buyers here. Almost all manufacturers, including industry leaders or otherwise, are vying for their share in the market by introducing new cars and new segments in India. Accordingly, classifications like mini SUV and mini MPV got popular in India. Going by the trend, Chevrolet thought that the time is ripe to introduce its MPV, Enjoy.
However, Enjoy hit the Indian roads at a time when the market was not favorably poised – the entire industry was going through a slow down and the overall sales figures from the companies were not very encouraging. However, that did not deter Chevrolet from launching Enjoy. Priced at INR 6.74 lakh to 8.13 lakh, the Enjoy is a compact MPV that can accommodate seven passengers. It comes in four variants and the base variant can accommodate eight passengers in total. All the variants are available in both petrol and diesel versions.
On the exterior, the Chevrolet Enjoy looks what it is – a big, multi purpose vehicle. It is somewhat big and burly in appearance, but at the same looks inviting too. On the inside, the car is very spacious and comfortable. It is elegant and confidence inspiring, as it has a graceful feel to it.
The petrol variant of Enjoy is powered by a 78 PS, 1.4-liter petrol engine. On the other hand, the diesel variant is powered by a 1104 PS powerful, 3-litre Multijet diesel engine. Both the engines deliver reliable performances and are powerful enough to navigate all types of terrains.
The accessory list of Enjoy includes a powerful AC unit, integrated music system, parking sensors, and tweeters for dashboard among others. Safety parameters include features like dual air bags, seat belts for all, power steering, ABS, EBD, rear washer and wiper, halogen headlights, and so on as standard. All these makes enjoy a desirable car.
